The IU Alumni Association Student Fellows Program was created in 2016 to support the IUAA’s vision and mission. The program serves as a resource for students to expand their network, while providing professional development and meaningful work experience. The students belong to a cohort, where they form lasting relationships and work toward common goals in a supportive environment.

Meet Our Donors
A regular around the IU Alumni Association for many years, Lynn is a retired school counselor and choral music teacher who began her volunteerism with the IUAA in the early 1990s. A former Jacobs School of Music Alumni Association board member, she became a representative on that group’s executive council in 1992. She was secretary for the IUAA Board of Managers from 1996–98, and served on the IU Bloomington Chancellor search committee in 2000. A life member of the IUAA, Lynn was chair of the Board of Managers during a difficult year for our country: 2001. It was also a difficult year for the IUAA as our long-time CEO, Jerry Tardy, died just four days before Sept. 11. Lynn led the IUAA through that transition period with grace, tenacity, and generosity, traveling with John Hobson to chapters and reassuring alumni that the IUAA’s future was still very bright. She helped ensure that future by sitting on the IUAA CEO search committee that found another great leader in Ken Beckley.
Dedicated and passionate alumni Jefferson and Mary have shared their experiences with students and staff over the years, providing incredible insight and perspective during some of the most critical times. Jefferson served as Chair of the Board of Managers in 2014–15 and continued his involvement on the Past Chairs Council, a critical advisory body to the IUAA. He’s been active on the College Alumni Board and the Executive Dean’s Advisory Board for IU Bloomington’s College of Arts and Sciences. Jefferson and Mary earned their degrees at the Bloomington campus, but call the south side of Indianapolis home and are very connected to IU Indianapolis. In fact, they made a generous gift to the IU Indianapolis Campus that will provide two scholarship programs for IU Indianapolis students and build a gateway sculpture at the corner of Michigan and West streets.
