The Ultimate Hoosier Week

Celebrate your home away from home this Homecoming! The SAA hosts several events throughout the week, so there’s something for everyone. Gather with alumni, fellow students, faculty, and staff as you celebrate the ultimate IU weekend.

Practice Your Royal Wave

Apply to be part of Homecoming Court. Two members of the court will be crowned at halftime of the Homecoming football game and each receive $500 scholarships.

Compete against other groups in your category. Get points for participating in Homecoming week events and compete for prizes in your category and for Grand Champion, which will be announced at halftime of the Homecoming game.

You can help make the world a better place by donating blood in our Red Cross Blood Drive. From 10 a.m.–4 p.m. in the Georgian room at the IMU. Register for the Red Cross Blood Drive

Union Board Spirit Jeans

Get into the spirit of Homecoming Week with Union Board! Decorate your own Homecoming spirit jeans in the IMU’s Alumni Hall at 4 p.m.

IUSF Bloomington ClassicJoin the IU Student Foundation at Bill Armstrong Stadium where they will be hosting a Bloomington Classic Bike Race from 6–9 p.m. Spectators are encouraged. Sign your team up to compete in a Trike Relay! Teams of 4 will compete with one another between the women’s and men’s races. More details will be sent to those teams who sign up, including safety and waiver info.
SAA Ride or DyeJoin the SAA for our annual tie-dye event! Receive a free Homecoming t-shirt and stick around to tie-dye it at Bill Armstrong Stadium from 6–8 p.m.
Independent Council Pumpkin PaintingGet in the fall spirit with Independent Council‘s pumpkin painting event! Purchase a pumpkin for $2 and paint it for free from 4–6 p.m. on the Hamilton Lugar Lawn.

Hollywood Drag ShowCome see a Hollywood Drag Show with the Queer Student Union in the IMU’s Georgian Room at 6:30 p.m. Tipping the queens is encouraged!
SUIS Homecoming Flower Pop-UpMake a flower bouquet with Substance Use and Intervention Services on the SUIS Lawn at 1 p.m.

Homecoming ParadeMarch in the Homecoming parade with your student organization or grab a group of friends to come watch. The parade take place on Woodlawn Ave. going north from 13th Street to 17th Street, starting at 5:30 p.m.
Hoosier HysteriaJoin the IU Basketball team and many fans to celebrate the official first day of men’s and women’s basketball. Get excited with this season’s coaches and players at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall at 7:30 p.m.
